I have been directing Lucid Body Teacher trainee, Antonio Suarez in his new work: WAITING FOR MARK. An initial presentation of this autobiographical piece was presented in June, before further development.
On par with teaching, I love developing autobiographical work with an actor, because it takes the class room work one step further;not only do we look inward and unearth the juicy parts, but we connect the material that is so close to the bone, to the universal.Crafting this material, so that it is not indulgent, but essential to both the teller and the listener, is one of my greatest thrills.
Antonio is a deep, generous actor. The process has been a joy, every step of the way.And when the baby is born, it will scream loud so y’all will hear. xFay

I just wanted to comment on how incredibly wonderful Mr. Suarez is. He was my theater professor at Hunter College about seven years ago, and he taught an absolutely joyous class. I’ve always been shy and have sufferered from stage fright but while in his class I developed an incredible sense of confidence and self worth. Thank you Mr. Suarez for such an amazing and lifelong experience.
Well, I’ll be. This is the latest I’ve heard of the legend that is Prof. Suarez. If you know a way to contact him, please ask him to e-mail me at erp33@law.georgetown.edu. I remember his class fondly, not to mention my time in his departmental production. And considering I just saw him on House of Cards, Episode 8, I knew it was time to hunt this man down. This is as far as I got, but if someone can find him, I’d appreciate any information that would lead to hearing from him again.
