From May 4-9, Fay Simpson and screenwriter, Frederick Johntz (Men of Honor with Robert De Niro, Barbershop 1&2, with Ice Cube, Faster with Billy Bob Thorton) are teaming up to host a first of its kind week long writing-acting-creating extravaganza. This May Intensive is Writing/Acting from the GUT. You’ll walk out the door on May 9 with your own 10-15 minute solo project.
Fay is going to utilize the Lucid Body tools of character analysis to uncover raw material from the crevasses of your body. So yes, you will do a kick ass warm-up everyday and work through the chakras. These centers along your central nervous system will ignite parts of self that have been closeted. Characters will emerge from these released parts of self. This material will be unexpected and fresh. So please do not come prepared with anything but an open mind and sweat pants. Frederick will guide you carefully and thoroughly into clear story structure using this material.
