Wherever we are are, each space has a particular feel, groove or vibe to it. “It’s good to be here.” — “I cannot wait to get out of here.” — “This too shall pass.” The felt dimension of a place, space or event is not a thought or an idea – it is the feeling reality of what it means to be here. In this workshop we will see how Michael Chekhov’s notion of “atmosphere” can help us as performers to arrive in the NOW and to artistically transform the status quo.
Please bring a text that:
* you feel drawn to
* enchants or intimidates you
* is between 1-2 minutes in duration
The tuition is $80 (this includes a free audio download of an exercise on atmosphere after the workshop). Upon acceptance into the workshop, a $30 deposit is required to hold your space. The remaining amount ($50) is due on the day of the workshop. (*If you are unable to make the workshop, but wish to receive the audio-exercise only, please inquire.)
