Katie Knipp Willis

Katie Knipp Willisis a Certified Lucid Body Instructor who began her work with Fay in 2004. Katie has served on the Acting Faculty with the Yale School of Drama, NYU(Stella Adler Conservatory), and the Actor’s Center. She taught at the Lucid Body House the 8-week Basics Course, and May Intensives, as well as co-teacher for the Lucid Body Gratitude Workshop. Katherine has also taught The Lucid Body technique to the professional acting community in Kansas City Missouri. She has served as assistant director to Fay during Impact Theatre NYC’s creation of new works; collaborating on original Solo Shows, and most recently in Impact’s Theatre For Social Change performances, Leaving Theatre and Homecoming, focusing on American Veterans.  Katie has also acted with Impact Theatre, playing Juliet in a Shakespeare Movement Vignette of Romeo and Juliet, and creating a character of her own shadow in the theatre’s original production of Forensics of Breath.

Katie is the premiere Lucid Body teacher for children and teens.  As a K-12 teaching artist, Katie works with arts organizations and schools all throughout NYC, and New York State using Lucid Body to give young people a connection to their bodies, emotions and voices that strengthens healthy development, creativity, and confidence.
