Description:
Combining Lucid Body with the Stanislavsky system, Monika Gossmann, a graduate of the Moscow art theatre, will explore scenes from Anton Chekhov in this two class intensive.
Students will be given a scene or a monologue out of a Chekhov play or short story before the workshop or choose their own. Each class will start with a Lucid Body warm-up to deepen the sensory understanding of the physical body, and continue with character work based on Lucid Body layering, followed by a classical Stanislavski breakdown of the scene or monologue.
As in Shakespeare there are curtain keys to the Chekhovian text that will be uncovered.
