This class will break down the principles of the Lucid Body technique from a mind-brain perspective, and discuss how these principles are setting the actor up for a healthy career on and off the stage.
Blending the latest research in cognitive science, affective neuroscience, and empathy, we will explore the mind and brain of the actor to best understand the actor’s craft.
We will discuss common pressures and pitfalls the actor faces in the entertainment industry and how these pressures affect the mind, brain, and body.
We will explore the incredible strengths the actor can gain from a healthy acting practice, such as increased empathy, resilience, memory capacity, and creativity; why these strengths are increasingly important to foster in the actor, and how these strengths can affect those who surround the actor in an invisible, but tangible way.
This class is for actors, teachers, anyone interested in acting, and for those who work and interact with actors.
